More about me
Hi there, I am Tiago Loja, a Portuguese sound engineer with over a decade of experience. My journey began in music in 2004 while studying guitar in the conservatory which transcended to sound in 2009 when I began studying Sound Technologies. I firmly believe that knowledge unlocks the door to creativity, so I'm dedicated to both continuous learning and sharing experiences.
I bring valuable experience to the studio environment, having recorded, mixed, and mastered multiple artists in various studios. My expertise extends to live sound engineering, where I've handled both front-of-house and monitors. Additionally, I founded a production studio and co-created a YouTube series dedicated to showcasing up-and-coming musicians.
I engineer sound because I'm fascinated by how it operates. How we perceive it, its behavior across different mediums, its responsiveness to various tools, and the effort required to comprehend and work with it effectively. Along the way I learned to love sound, sometimes even more than music.
My career goals? Well, I just want to keep working with incredible artists, bringing their sonic ambitions to life. Hanging out in awesome studios with fellow audio nerds, always learning, always growing!
On a personal note, I love dogs, especially my dog Guache.
